To show the influence of the sea on the fauna and flora of the Ria Formosa, through examples of how animals and plants have adapted to their habitat;

To promote and publicise the biodiversity existing in the different habitats of the Ria Formosa, from the barrier islands, to the dunes and salt marshes, ending in the tertiary dunes, an example of which is the leisure area of Pinheiros de Marim, in Olhão;

To encourage contact with nature through guided tours of Pinheiros de Marim.
