Introduction
In partnership with Seixal City Municipality, the Vita Nativa Association is promoting environmental awareness actions in the Parque Metropolitano da Biodiversidade, a forest park in the municipality of Seixal that will have, in its last phase of implementation, an area of 400 hectares. In addition to these activities, Vita Nativa technicians will implement a plan for inventorying, monitoring and disseminating the biodiversity and habitats that are part of this park.
Objectives
Inventory and monitor the biodiversity of the Parque Metropolitano da Biodiversidade.
Control and monitor invasive flora in the Park area.
Raise awareness in the community about the importance of preserving biodiversity and the habitats that comprise the Park.
Raise awareness of the impact of climate change on the species and habitats present in the Park.
Empower municipal technicians for biodiversity conservation.
Promote the natural values of the Parque Metropolitano da Biodiversidade.
